why
I discovered the concept of terroir in the Burgundy region. I wanted to bring you wines from the Bordeaux region with this same interpretation, by developing and adding value to under-exploited micro-terroirs. In other words, I wanted to create wines that have a taste that reflects their plot of origin.
Bordeaux is a patchwork of different terroirs and it is important to find the plots that are best suited to the grape variety planted there, whether on the right or left bank.
On the right bank, I scoured the Entre-Deux-Mers vineyards and found a fantastic plot of Merlot growing in cool clay-limestone soil. It makes up most of the blend.
This wine is a combination of the work of our partner winegrowers and our know-how as an artisan-négociant in terms of single plot vinification and the art of blending in our cellar.
